Group 4 and Virginia Wing will host a Senior Member Professional Development weekend on 2-3 Dec 2017 at Wing Headquarters. Courses to be offered include:

SLS REGISTRATION IS FULL! To be added to the waitlist, email john.payne@vawg.cap.gov. Squadron Leadership School (2 Dec, 0800-1700) (SLS) provides CAP's adult members with a basic understanding of CAP operations at the squadron level and how those operations affect CAP's national missions. Additionally, members learn more about CAP customs, core values, and communications. Course is required to complete Level II. Training Leaders of Cadets - Basic Course (2 Dec, 0800-1700) (TLC) is the premiere venue for Cadet Programs Officers to learn how to become better mentor of cadets and more effective managers of cadet squadrons. This is the first of a 3-course program that is a component of the Cadet Programs Officer Specialty Track and is a requirement to earn the Senior Rating in this track. Unit Commander's Course (2-3 Dec, 0800-1700 each day). The objective of the UCC is to build a cadre of well-trained officers who are prepared to lead and manage at the squadron level. Graduates will be able to weave the management responsibilities of command with the leadership skills necessary to build and encourage their team of dedicated members from all walks of life and of all ages to accomplish CAP's mission and squadron objectives. Prerequisite: completion of Level II (contact the course director if requesting a waiver). The courses are open to all senior members who meet the prerequisites. Registration fee includes lunch on the day(s) of your course.
